About Us

Patrick Connor Markey
Originally from Houston, I am currently a junior at Texas State and double majoring in Mass Communications (in electronic media and public relations) with a media studies minor. I love San Marcos and all of the natural beauty and fun activities its environment has to offer. Ever since I was a child I’ve been drawn to the San Marcos when my family used to escape the big-city life by vacationing here in the Texas hill country.  When the season is right you may catch me down at Sewell or John J. Stokes parks on the bank of the river, or hiking around Purgatory Creek.

Reece Williamson
Born and raised in Wimberley, Texas. I am a senior at Texas State majoring in Mass Communications in electronic media. I work for KLRU and ACL as a broadcast engineer intern. My interest include comedy and playing guitar. I also play for the Buckets( Ultimate Frisbee) a Texas State club sport.

Tyler Stevenson
I am a junior at Texas State University majoring in electronic media and minoring in sociology. I grew up in Maryland, but spent my high school years in San Antonio at Earl Warren High School. I love sports, so after graduation I hope to work as a reporter for the San Antonio Spurs of the Baltimore Ravens. During my free time I like to relax by playing basketball, cooking and going to the movies.

Susan Selesky
A Sugar Land native, I am currently a senior studying advertising and art & design at Texas State. Coming from an small urban area, the natural beauty of the hill country is a big part of what drew me to choose San Marcos for college. I’m incredibly passionate about art and music, dance music in particular. After graduation, I plan to begin working toward a career in the dance music industry, working on behind-the-scenes production of music festivals. My ultimate career goal is to work in the creative department of Insomniac Events.

Glenda Escobedo
I'm a 21-year-old junior at Texas State University. My major is Advertising with a minor in Spanish. My hometown is Laredo, Texas where the slogan is "Keep Laredo Beautiful," as well. Although I enjoy the green areas and the river in San Marcos, I plan to move back to Laredo after I graduate and work on local advertising for Laredo, Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. I enjoy blogging and visiting my family in Mexico.
