About KSMB

We are a team of students helping to spread the word about Keep San Marcos Beautiful, a local organization and city initiative dedicated to improving the quality of life in San Marcos through a community group effort.

Some of their goals include:

·      Litter prevention: through numerous neighborhood, river, and community cleanups.

·      Beautification: through KSMB’s Adopt-A-Spot program with the help of numerous local businesses and organizations.

·      Education: By promoting environmental stewardship through presentations, hands-on activities and service-learning projects.

As students our mission is to keep the community up to date with the KSMB’s opportunities to better our environment. There are many ways to get involved with Keep San Marcos Beautiful; businesses and organizations can participate by adopting an area of the city and organizing a clean up four times a year. To get started, one can start by filling out an Adopt-A-Spot application. In order to become an individual volunteer and participate in one of the many events held throughout the year, Email KSMB@sanmarcostx.gov or call 512-393-8407. Both children and adults can become educated through the the educational resources provided by KSMB as well.  To set up a presentation for school, class, youth or civic/service group, please contact the KSMB Coordinator at akirwin@sanmarcostx.gov.
